With Irene Greaves (left), founder of Lovescaping® — a partnership that forever changed how I lead, love, and coach.
My work today is deeply connected to my own journey.
I’m a proud Jewish, Latina, gay woman who came to the United States from Venezuela at 19 — searching for belonging, identity, and purpose. I didn’t always believe in education. In fact, I struggled in school and couldn’t wait to leave it behind. It wasn’t until years later, when someone suggested I become a teacher — telling me I’d make a great principal one day — that everything began to change.
I became a fourth-grade teacher, and that experience completely reshaped my view of education and human connection. I saw firsthand that what truly transforms lives isn’t curriculum or policy — it’s love, empathy, and relationships. That classroom became the place where I finally learned to believe in learning.
In my thirties, I came out and began the process of rediscovering who I truly was — while raising my two children, who were then just 10 and 7. It wasn’t easy. It meant facing uncertainty, judgment, and fear, while doing my best to provide my children with the love, stability, and support they needed. My wife and I raised them together, and though our approaches were different, we both shared the same commitment to helping them grow into confident, kind, and capable adults.
Those years taught me what it means to lead with courage, even when life feels uncertain. My children grew up to become successful, grounded, and deeply caring adults — a reflection of the resilience and compassion we built together through honesty and growth.
Over the next 27 years, I became a teacher, principal, and coach — guided by the belief that connection, empathy, and love can transform how we teach, lead, and live.
In 2019, I met Irene Greaves, founder of Lovescaping®, whose vision of teaching love as a skill resonated with everything I had come to believe about education and humanity. Together, we grew Lovescaping’s reach across schools, teachers, and families — helping thousands of people cultivate empathy, humility, and trust.
Through that experience, I discovered that what transforms lives isn’t just what we do, but how present we are when we do it. Around that same time, I began studying Eckhart Tolle’s work on presence and awareness. His teachings — especially The Power of Now — helped me see that awareness itself is the foundation for growth, peace, and authentic connection.
Combining these influences, I realized my next calling: to create spaces where people can think, feel, and grow with someone who truly listens.
For 27 years, I’ve worked with teachers, students, and families across every grade level — from Pre-K through 12.
As a teacher, principal, and coach, I’ve learned that lasting change doesn’t come from new programs or policies — it comes from connection.
Throughout my career, I’ve coached teachers, guided new leaders, and mentored aspiring principals — many of whom now lead schools of their own.
Each relationship has reminded me that leadership is as much about listening and reflection as it is about results.
Today, through Lovescaping® and Thought Partnership Coaching, I blend my professional expertise with the human lessons I’ve lived along the way.
My coaching integrates evidence-based frameworks, including my CCA Coaching Certification and Cognitive Coaching® training, with the philosophical foundation of Lovescaping — teaching love Intentionally.
Whether I’m supporting a school leader, a parent, or an individual, my goal is the same: to help people build connection, clarity, and systems that nurture harmony in real life.
I believe love isn’t something we talk about — it’s something we practice.
And every conversation, every moment of awareness, is an opportunity to lead and love with intention.
